Chris Jericho signed a deal earlier this week with All Elite Wrestling. According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer it is the “best contract of his career”.
Jericho was in negotiations with WWE and All Elite Wrestling prior to signing a deal with the AEW. Jericho reportedly was speaking with WWE prior to his trip to Japan for Wrestle Kingdom 13.
As far as money goes, it’s unknown what the exact figure is, but All Elite Wrestling offered him a better deal overall.
Jericho signed a 3 year contract with AEW that allows him to continue to work with New Japan Pro Wrestling as well as his yearly cruise.
All Elite Wrestling deals vary depending on the talent, as each contract is different. Jericho is exclusive to All Elite Wrestling, but is allowed to continue to work with NJPW, which is a stipulation in his contract.
Joey Janella, who also signed a deal with AEW has a stipulation in his contract that still allows him to promote his Lost In New York independent events.
