Andrade will be free to sign with another promotion, or begin taking appearances following his release from WWE.

According to Dave Meltzer, Andrade’s release from WWE does not include a standard 90-day non-compete clause.

On 3/8, Andrade asked WWE for his release from the company, it was initially denied. WWE ultimately changed its mind, granting his release Sunday, advising him of the news earlier in the day.

WWE issued a statement Sunday night following WWE Fastlane: “WWE has come to terms on the release of Andrade. We wish him all the best in all of his future endeavors.”

It’s unknown which name Andrade will choose to use once he begins taking dates, or signs with another promotion.

In 2019 Andrade filed a trademark for the name “La Sombra” and ‘El Idolo’ via ‘Gimmick Attorney Michael E. Dockins. The trademarks were filed for entertainment services, and merchandise as a professional wrestler.
