Former WWE Star Opted To Not Travel For ‘RAW Legends Night’
WWE held their RAW Legends Night special this past Monday, inviting several stars from the past, including many who did not appear on the show.
Ahead of the show, reports emerged Carlito would not be making an appearance, with the reason behind his absence unknown. Following the show, Wrestling Inc reported WWE had not officially booked him to appear, but simply sent out feelers to a number of talent, and “jumped the gun” on advertising.
Mike Johnson spoke on the situation with Dave Scherer on PWInsider Elite (subscription required), revealing WWE offered Carlito a spot on the show, but respectfully declined due to the nature of the appearance. Carlito reportedly wasn’t interested in traveling to make a very short cameo on the event.
“I was told Carlito found out he was just getting a cameo, and said ‘Hey, but thanks, when you want me to come wrestle or do something, I’m happy to do it. I don’t want to travel across the country, just to do a 2 minute cameo’”
Following the show, Carlito posted a gif seemingly reacting to his absence from the episode.
