FOX Inviting Celebrities To Debut SmackDown Event In Los Angeles

As WWE moves their SmackDown Live television program to FOX this fall, the network is gearing up to make the inaugural episode a major event.

According to the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, FOX wants the first episode of SmackDown Live be equivalent to a major boxing event. The network is looking to invite a lot of celebrities, which is one of the reasons the first show will be held in Los Angeles at the Staples Center.

They are also looking to invite a lot of celebrities which is one of the reasons the first show will be at the Staples Center. They want to kick it off with a bang like it’s the equivalent of a big boxing match and the place for real stars to be at.

FOX has been testing out two new cameras, and the idea is to have the program look more polished in comparison to what All Elite Wrestling will be doing the same week as ‘Wednesday Night Dynamite’ is expected to debut on October 2nd.

FOX has been testing out two new cameras that they want in use for the debut show on 10/4.  The idea in particular, since AEW will be debuting the same week 99 percent, is to make WWE look as major league as possible and to thus, make AEW from day one appear to be like a minor league group
