As previously reported,The Orlando County Department of Public Health is investigating several businesses as potential COVID hotspots, including three WWE venues, WWE Performance Center, Full Sail Live, and WWE ThunderDome inside Amway Center.

According to Raj Giri of Wrestling Inc., the internal belief is multiple WWE trainees and / or NXT talent lodged complaints regarding health protocols not being followed.

Wrestling Inc. learned that it is internally believed that several trainees from the Performance Center and / or NXT talent made formal complaints about daily operations and protocols not being followed.

According to the report, during an NXT television taping a few weeks back, people spoke up about what they called “anti-maskers” who potentially put others at risks not following guidelines outside of WWE and PC training classes.

Earlier this month, Fightful reported a number trainees were uncomfortable training due to “a number of ‘COVID truthers on the NXT roster that just don’t take the situation seriously.”

WWE issued a statement this week regarding the investigating, indicating their venues are not open to the public.

“WWE is not open to the public, but rather operating on a closed set with only essential personnel in attendance. As part of on-going weekly testing protocols, Aventus Labs have administered more than 10,000 PCR tests to WWE performers, employees, production staff and crew resulting in only 1.5 percent positive cases as compared to the current national average of more than 5%. Additionally, extensive contact tracing takes place and impacted individuals are placed in 14-day quarantine and then only cleared after they test negative.”

WWE has been allowing a limited amount of fans at the WWE Performance Center for weekly NXT television tapings. Jon Alba of Spectrum Sports states WWE does cover the cost of testing for fans who attend the tapings.

COVID testing for attending #WWENXT happens the day before. Every individual who attends is then taken to their pod, where they are stationed with those in they're party. Sanitation is also available in pod. Paul Levesque had mentioned this on the last call. #WWE
