More Details On Behind-The-Scenes WWE Releases

It was a busy day behind the scenes at WWE, as the company made major internal changes, firing a number of employees across different divisions.

According to PWInsider, WWE is amalgamating departments to alleviate redundancies. One example given, WWE has two graphics departments, one for television production, and one for digital. These departments have now been merged into one, and will be overseen directly by Kevin Dunn.

The Advanced Media Group took the biggest hit, with a number of critical longtime employees being let go.

The following names are no longer with the company.

  • Adam Kirshner – Manager – Media & Metadata Operations
  • James Wortman – Content Director
  • Jay Rosenstock –  EVP of International Television (according to Wrestlenomics)
  • Makham Nolan – VP of Media Operations (according to Wrestlenomics)
  • Brian Pellegatto – Senior Vive President, Production

According to Deadline, WWE Studios also took a hit today, with a number of employees let go as well.

As of today I am no longer with WWE. I’ve had a tremendous career and had the honor to build the greatest team. From first ever dotcom intern to a leader I’ve seen and done it all. I am truly looking forward to giving this same 110% and then some where ever I land.

This isn’t something I expected to say today or on any day, but I am no longer with WWE after 11 years.

Thank you to all of the friends I’ve made during that time and to the talented people I’ve had the pleasure to work with.

It’s not goodbye, it’s “see you down the road.” pic.twitter.com/0PdU4VWKFt

Without @Pelle1105
– An unbooked me wouldnt have been able to hone my mic skills on the WWE app (second screen)
– I wouldnt have had a creative space to build chemistry with @WWEBigE & @TrueKofi

Earlier today, WWE RAW announcer Adnan Virk also left the company, which was a mutual decision.
