WWE will be hosting their Survivor Series pay-per-view in less than a month, which will be held inside WWE ThunderDome at Orlando’s Amway Center.
According to Dave Meltzer in the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, internal talks suggest Roman Reigns vs. Drew McIntyre will be taking place at Survivor Series.
WWE is once again planning interpromotional matches, with RAW and SmackDown champions likely going head-to-head.
“I know there is talk for Roman and McIntyre for Survivor Series. I would not make that match. Survivor Series is going to be all inter promotional anyway”
Based on who the current champions are, we can speculate the following matches could take place at the PPV.
- Roman Reigns (WWE Universal Champion) vs. Drew McIntyre (WWE Champion)
- Sami Zayn (WWE Intercontinental Champion) vs. Bobby Lashley (WWE United States Champion)
- Bayley (SmackDown Women’s Champion) vs. Asuka (RAW Women’s Champion)
- The Street Profits (SmackDown Tag Team Champions) vs. The New Day (RAW Tag Team Champions)
WWE will present their Hell In A Cell pay-per-view Sunday, based on current betting odds, only one championship could change hands.
It should be noted, PWInsider reported on last month, Retribution vs. WWE was discussed for Survivor Series. It’s unknown if the company plans to still move in that direction.
We should expect the build up for WWE Survivor Series to take place during this week’s edition of RAW and SmackDown.
WWE Survivor Series will take place on 11/22 on WWE Network and PPV.
