Due to a COVID-19 outbreak within NXT, the brand had a limited roster on this week’s show. The outbreak reportedly stemmed from the WWE Performance Center, where some talents and staff weren’t undergoing correct safety protocols.
WWE had to pull at least one match from the show, with Leon Ruff and Isaiah Scott not performing their scheduled match. Other absences include Timothy Thatcher, Alexander Wolfe, Johnny Gargano, and Candice LeRae.
As per Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Radio, Triple H was not present for this week’s Raw or NXT. The reason for his absence was not revealed.
“Paul Levesque was not there, and he wasn’t at Raw on Monday. So that could be…I mean, not everyone tested positive, but it could also be those who were in contact with people who tested positive. Johnny Gargano and Candice LeRae were not there, they played a clip of them from home. Timothy Thatcher, Alexander Wolfe, Leon Ruff and Isaiah Scott were supposed to have a match and that did not happen. Those were the names that I noticed. So that was it.”
