WWE is looking to move production of the ThunderDome after their contract expires with Amway Center in Orlando at the end of November.
According to Wrestlevotes, WWE had discussions over the weekend on potential arenas in North Carolina, Texas, and Illinois. The company is looking for a venue which can accommodate the weight and power requirements of the ThunderDome. Preference will be given to cities which are also major travel hubs, allowing talent and staff to travel more efficiently.
ThunderDome update: source states WWE is set to leave the Amway Center by the 1st of December. Arenas in North Carolina, Texas & Illinois were discussed over the weekend. WWE needs to find a spot where NO team plays + able to house the weight & power requirements of the setup.
A newer arena is preferred as the weight of the ThunderDome won’t work with older buildings. Also, a major travel hub is needed as talent will be flying in and out each week. Not the easiest combination of things to find.

WWE recently extended their lease with Amway Center, which was originally set to expire on 10/31.
Jon Alba posted the agreement, which specifies the contract ends on 11/24, two days after WWE Survivor Series. Based on this information, WWE would need a new venue for SmackDown on 11/27, and Monday Night RAW for 11/30.
