WWE Releasing Trademark
WWE will not be moving forward with their attempt to trademark the name Chelsea Green.
The company had been attempting to trademark the name since last year, facing a roadblock due to not having her consent on file.
Earlier this month, WWE provided a signed document from Green that allowed the company to use her name for wrestling purposes. Green attempted to trademark the name herself after being released from the company.
Earlier today, Green tweeted she was facing a legal battle with WWE over the ownership of the name, despite it being her legal birth name.
According to Fightful Select (subscription required),WWE called Green on Sunday evening, agreeing to release the name for her to use. She is expected to speak on the situation during this week’s edition of her Green With Envy Podcast.
