WWE Attempting To Gain Ownership Of Chelsea Green’s Name

Chelsea Green is prepared to battle WWE over a trademark to her name.

Last year, WWE filed a trademark with The United States Patent and Trademark Office for the name Chelsea Green. The filing faced a roadblock due to not having Green’s consent on record.

On 8/5, WWE provided evidence it had Green’s consent on record (pictured below). The paperwork was signed last November, prior to Green’s release from WWE.

Green filed her own trademark this past June, attempting to gain ownership of the name to use elsewhere. She took to Twitter, writing she is didn’t think she would be “in a legal battle” for her birth given name. She is planning to discuss the situation the next episode of her Green With Envy Podcast.
