Former Ruby Riott Reveals New Name

Ruby Riott may have revealed her new in-ring name.

Ruby Riott was among one of the many names released by WWE earlier this month, ending her four-year tenure with the company. While she’s currently under the standard 90-day non-compete clause which expires on August 31, Riott looks to be preparing for her in-ring return.

Riott has now seemingly revealed her post-WWE name, changing her Instagram handle to @realrubysoho.

Riott appeared on the ‘Wrestling Perspective Podcast’ recently, where she revealed that she wouldn’t be using Heidi Lovelace in the future, which was the name she went under prior to joining WWE. Instead, she wanted to keep the Ruby part of her name, as was taken from the song by Rancid, ‘Ruby Soho’.

During the interview, Lars Fredericksen, the Wrestling Perspective Podcast co-host and guitarist/vocalist of Rancid offered Riott the name.

Riott’s 90-day non-compete clause is set to expire on August 31, meaning she will be able to wrestle outside WWE and sign with another company if she wishes.
