Following the incident, WrestlingInc was first to report that WWE had fired their Senior Director of Talent Relations, Mark Carrano, with other sites confirming the report.
Fightful Select (subscription required) spoke with several former WWE talents following Carrano’s firing from the company. It was noted that the reaction was unanimously in favor of Carrano’s firing, with some talents simply stating ‘f*ck Mark Carrano’ to more detailed responses regarding their experience with him.
Fightful added that multiple wrestlers called Carrano a ‘snake’, however, another wrestler mentioned that he was a good guy deep down but let the power get to him.
A longtime name believed that Carrano will return to WWE in the future as he knows ‘where too many bodies are buried’, and that the trash bag incident was WWE’s perfect way to get rid of him.
It was also noted that Carrano had fought to increase the pay of referees, which was something others previously didn’t attempt.
