According to Fightful Select (subscription required), AJ Styles is set to defeat Matt Riddle and retain the WWE Intercontinental Championship. Following the match, Matt Riddle is scheduled to be beat down by both AJ Styles and Baron Corbin.
Also scheduled for Friday’s SmackDown, Alexa Bliss will host “A Moment Of Bliss” with a mystery guest, and Bray Wyatt will return to the Firefly Fun House.
It’s unknown if WWE had already pre-taped the match, or if these were plans going into the show.
