WWE Looking To Bring Back Top Stars For Wrestlemania 37

Over past years, legends such as John Cena, The Rock and Batista have returned for big matches at WrestleMania, and the same could be taking place this year.

WrestleVotes reports that WWE are wanting to have four big matches at this year’s WrestleMania, due to the fact that it will take place over two nights. It was noted that this probably means WWE will be bringing in multiple major stars to be featured on the pay-per-view.

The report noted that Goldberg and John Cena are nearly ‘locked in’ for the show, whereas The Undertaker is ‘TBD’. The Rock is ‘unlikely’ to appear at this year’s show of shows, with speculation that he could be facing Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 39.

Once a decision was made to run the 2 night card for Mania, the creative team started working on “bigger” ideas. Thought is WWE now needs 4 MAJOR matches, 2 per show. That probably requires outside assistance from big names. Cena & Goldberg nearly locks. Rock unlikely. Taker TBD.

The majority of those backstage believe The Undertaker has hung up his boots, but it usually only takes one call from Vince McMahon to change that.

Follow up on the Taker part. Majority of those backstage think he’s done. And rightfully so. However, it only takes one call, from one usually conVINCing man to change all that.

AJ Styles has recently expressed his interest in facing Triple H at WrestleMania, and Goldberg’s deal includes two matches per year, with his first being of which being against Drew McIntyre at next Sunday’s Royal Rumble pay-per-view.
