“Wrestling For Women’s Charity” has canceled an upcoming show amid backlash on social media.

We apologize for riling everyone up. It is clear that we’re in over our heads. We’ll say that everybody booked was fully aware of all details including going through AEW’s 3rd party booking system for talent. Rather than put talent in a tough situation, we’ve canceled the show.

Earlier today, a social media post was made advertising the event, which featured a number of top independent stars, as well as AEW talent.

The ticketing site revealed the show was promoted by Bar Wrestling, which is owned by Joey Ryan. He was also advertised to appear at the show.

Joey Ryan had serious allegations made against him during the Speaking Out movement, he has since filed several lawsuits against accusers and others who have spoken negatively about him on social media.

Tony Khan pulled AEW talent from the show, and Fite TV issued a statement indicating they would not air the show on their platform.
