General Manager Mode will reportedly be making its highly anticipated return next year.
According to Mike Straw of Sports Gamers Online, WWE will be bringing back the long awaited General Manager Mode to their next game, WWE 2K22.
One source noted to Straw that “It’s going to become the most played mode in the game,” while another went even further by stating that “The mode will sell this game.”
The mode, which hasn’t been included in WWE games since 2007, sees players take on the role of General Manager, overlooking the booking, contract and financial side of things in an attempt to make their brand as successful as possible.
WWE haven’t released a traditional 2K video game since 2K20, which was hit by several glitches, making the game unplayable for many people. Instead, 2K released another game “WWE Battlegrounds”
While this hasn’t yet officially been confirmed by WWE or 2K Games, WWE 2K22 is scheduled to be released in March 2022, almost six months later than the usual release date.
2K issued the following statement to Brandon Collymore (BDE).
“At the moment, we don’t have any additional info to share on WWE 2K22 but we’ll be revealing all the details in January. We’ll be sure to keep you posted.”
