United States President Donald Trump has named a number of advisors in sports to help restart the economy amid the coronavirus pandemic.

During a press conference Tuesday, Trump named a number key people in sports, including WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon.

Others named includ Roger Goodell (NFL), Rob Manfred (MLB), Adam Silver (NBA), Gary Bettman (NHL) Dana White (UFC), Robert Kraft (New England Patriots), Jerry Jones (Dallas Cowboys), and Mark Cuban (Dallas Mavericks).

The McMahon and Trump family have a long-standing relationship going back to Wrestlemania IV and IV at Trump Plaza in Atlantic City, NJ. Donald Trump was also involved WWE angles in 2007 and 2009.

Trump was indicted into the WWE Hall Of Fame in 2013.

Vince McMahon’s wife Linda headed Donald Trump’s Small Business Administration from 2017 – 2019.

The timing of this announcement comes days after Linda McMahon pledged $18.5 million in pro-Trump superPac dollars towards broadcast advertising in Florida.
