After a 5 month hiatus, Lio Rush has returned to WWE television.

Lio Rush returned at the inaugural episode of NXT on USA Network tonight facing Oney Lorcan for a future WWE Cruiserweight championship opportunity.

Rush defeated Lorcan, and now has the opportunity to face WWE Cruiserweight Champion Drew Gulak in the future.

Rush was last seen in a WWE ring in March, abruptly disappearing from television. Rush responded to several stories that emerged regarding the internal heat he reportedly has in WWE.

In addressing reports that surfaced, Rush spoke with Fightful, giving his side to the stories involving backstage etiquette, and bringing family members to the venue uninvited.

Rush also addressed a story that was reported by PWInsider,  stating he had heat for not carrying water for talent on the last European tour. Rush, who was a new member of the main roster at the time was expected to do this to show respect to the veterans in the locker room.

During his hiatus from WWE, Rush has been working on his music career.
