Charly Caruso Expected To Exit WWE After Contract Expires

WWE on-air personality Charly Caruso is expected to exit the company after her contract expires.

According to PWInisder, WWE has no plans on her appearing on WWE television, and her on-air duties have already been fulfilled by others.

In the past few weeks, Caruso’s duties have been filled by other on-air personalities included Kayla Braxton, Sarah Schreiber, and Kevin Patrick.

The report also noted Caruso saying she “liked DP” during an on-air segment on RAW Talk. R-Truth first used the term referring to Damien Priest. Fans on Twitter saw this as a double-entendre. It’s unknown if WWE management felt the same way.

The week before that, Caruso, during the 2/22 episode of Raw Talk, joked that she “liked DP” when co-host R-Truth referred to Damian Priest as “D.P.”

Earlier this week, Fightful reported Caruso garnered backstage heat after being late for interviews she was conducting with talent. There were specific instances of lateness with top superstars Randy Orton and Sheamus that led to WWE pulling Caruso from TV. Vince McMahon reportedly took exception to Caruso’s tardiness on occasion.

Caruso regularly covered NXT back in 2016 prior to her work on the main roster, which included hosting the red brand’s Raw Talk program. She signed with ESPN back in 2018 and has been working for the sports titan, as well as WWE, ever since.
