Triple H Pushed For Samoa Joe’s WWE Return

Samoa Joe’s return to WWE had a lot to do with Triple H.

As reported earlier, Samoa Joe will be returning to the company, with plans for a role within the NXT brand in a non-wrestling role.

Samoa Joe may return in a commissioner-style role, which could mean he is replacing William Regal, who recently announced it’s “time for a change”. Regal is set to make an announcement on Tuesday’s edition of NXT television.

Mike Johnson of PWInsider provided some more details on the deal, indicating Triple H “snatched him back” to WWE to work for NXT. Once WWE made a decision to release Joe last April, Triple H was unhappy, and wanted him back in NXT, rather than somewhere outside of WWE.

As more details are known, an update will be provided.
