Backstage News Why Jimmy Uso Was Kept On Television Following Arrest

WWE star Jimmy Uso made headlines this past week outside the squared circle after being arrested for yet another DUI.

After spending a night in jail many wondered if WWE would punish the SmackDown star considering this is his third arrest since 2019, but that appeared not to be the case.

During the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer spoke on the reasoning WWE has kept Jimmy on television, citing ‘important’ creative plans the company doesn’t want to get ‘screwed up’.

“There’s stuff that’s in the plans that they feel is far too important, and they don’t want it screwed up, and that’s the answer”

Meltzer speculated that future plans involving The Rock may be one of the reasons WWE has decided not to punish him, but did mention the company could decide to suspend him later on.

“I don’t know if Roman went to bat for him, my gut is that this main event angle, because it’s going to include The Rock, it does lead to Wrestlemania, and he is involved in it in some form, and they don’t want to screw up The Rock’s angle” Meltzer stated. “I just know when I asked, it’s like nothings happening”

Uso was prominently featured during this past week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown, and is scheduled for a match next week alongside his brother Jey and Roman Reigns against The Mysterios and Edge.
