The plot thickens for Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson ahead of their impending exit from WWE.

Prior to WWE Elimination Chamber, The Revival worked a handful of live events, then were taken off the road, and sent home.

Fightful Select (subscription required) has an interesting update on the pair.

Sources within WWE have heard Dawson and Wilder have either not been getting paid, or have had their pay scaled back significantly.

“Multiple sources within WWE have heard that The Revival either weren’t getting paid, or that it was “extremely scaled back” because they’ve already exceeded their downside guarantees.”

One source indicates they have tried to get their release from WWE a half-dozen times since 2018.

Backstage chatter from the locker room indicates that Dawson and Wilder want an amicable exit from the company, and hope they can both be released at the same time.

Scott Dawson’s WWE contract is set to expire in early April, while Dash Wilder had an extra ten weeks added to his deal due to injury.

Last year, the company offered $550,000 each per-year to the pair to sign new deals with the company.

The Revival were last on WWE television during the 1/31 episode of Friday Night SmackDown.

It’s unknown if we will see the pair return to action for the company, or if they will stay at home until their contracts expire.
