News broke earlier this week that The Revival asked for their release from the WWE. The reason behind the release seems to be due to the way the WWE is treating the tag-team division according to Pro Wrestling Sheet.

The duo asked for their release based on how little time and respect the WWE tag-team division is given according to the report. Dash and Dawson were frustrated with the lack of backstage segments, promos and the direction of the division overall.

One source indicated that The Club being an afterthought on television after becoming a major signing for the WWE, and AOP being absent from television not long after their debut were two examples.

The Revival attempted to ask for their release prior to RAW this past Monday, but could not speak to Vince, as he was busy working out the Braun Strowman limousine segment with Paul Heyman. The team ended up speaking to him after their match against The Lucha House Party.

The Revival are working this weekend’s live events, and did face Chad Gable and Bobby Roode last night in San Antonio, TX. There has been communication between WWE management and the team, but it’s unknown if anything has been resolved.
