WWE Hopeful Sasha Banks Will Return Soon

WWE made a major change to the SmackDown Women’s Championship match at Saturday’s SummerSlam pay-per-view, substituting Sasha Banks for a returning Becky Lynch.

Banks has been off WWE events for over a week, with the company being tight lipped on her absence.

According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, WWE sources have revealed Sasha Banks is currently not cleared to compete, but are hopeful she will be back soon.

Mike Johnson of PWInsider reports, “The Banks situation is not believed to be an injury issue.”

Banks was scheduled to appear on Friday’s SmackDown, but was unable to appear. WWE creative were forced to re-write segments based on her absence.

As more details are known, an update will be provided.
