Sasha Banks has not been out of action for over a month, last wrestling Bianca Belair at WWE live event in Fort Myers, FL on August 7th.

Banks was originally scheduled to face Belair at SummerSlam, but was pulled and replaced by a returning Becky Lynch. Reasons behind her absence have yet to be revealed.

She was backstage at last week’s SmackDown show in Jacksonville, but did not appear on television. Photos have emerged online showing Banks alongside fans for a photo-op.

According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider Elite (subscription required), WWE’s has plans for Banks to return to the road full-time, with backstage chatter suggesting their was plans for her to return to Friday Night SmackDown at Madison Square Garden on September 17.

“Sasha was at SmackDown last week, she did not appear on camera. I was told the plan was for her initially to be at SmackDown this week at the Garden, so I don’t know if she’ll return, but I expect her to be on the road for the company full time this week”

Banks made a cryptic post on September 5, teasing a possible appearance at the show. She tweeted the number 12 alongside the song “The Final Countdown”, with many speculating that means she would return 12 days from the 5th, which would be September 17.
