WWE has hired yet another producer for Monday Night Raw, this time in the form of former company star, Jimmy Wang Yang, also known as James Yun.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Yang began his work as a producer on this past week’s episode. However, the report does not specify whether Yang has been hired full-time, or if this is a trial run for a potential contract.
The 40-year old has had quite the career in the industry, including runs with WCW, WWE, TNA, AJPW, Ring of Honor, and more. He was originally signed by WWE back in 2001, then worked on-and-off for the fed before being officially released in 2010. Pro Wrestling Illustrated listed him at #110 in the top 500 wrestlers in the world for the year 2007.
WWE profiled him during a “Where Are They Now?” segment in 2016.
His daughter, Jazzy Yang, also works as a wrestlers and has often appeared with Yang on the independents.
