Nick Khan Speaks On Success Of Wrestlemania 37

WWE doesn’t have plans to do more “one-off” shows, and wants to return to the road full-time.

Wrestlemania 37 was the first large-scale event in over a year with the presence of a live audience, the company claims over 50,000 were in attendance for both nights of the show.

WWE President & Chief Revenue Officer Nick Khan recently chatted with Variety, speaking on the success of Wrestlemania 37, revealing the event had “record 1.1 billion video views across their various video and social media channels. Additionally, on-site merchandise sales hit a record number,  the highest per capita in the history of the company.

He did not comment on the success of the event on NBC Universal’s Peacock streaming service, but sources told the publication it drove a large influx of subscribers.

Khan was asked about WWE’s plans for more in-person shows, revealing he doesn’t want to just do another one-off event.

“Any plans? Yes. Any plans we can share? Stay tuned. But just know that once we’re back on the road, we’re on the road full time. We’re not looking to do other one offs. Again, this was WrestleMania. And we felt it needed to be done for the fans. So look for news coming soon.”

WWE recently began a new residency at the Yeungling Center in Tampa, FL. The company’s lease with the arena ends this August.
