Themes WWE Events Returning

As the restrictions from the COVID-19 pandemic slowly become lifted in the United States WWE is preparing to return to the road and welcome back the WWE Universe to their live events. Now a new report has surfaced indicating some of the company’s plans for that return, and how they can hope to attract fans.

According to WrestleVotes, the WWE’s big planned return may include a number of special themed shows, specifically name-dropping King of the Ring, an Old School version of Monday Night Raw, and Cyber Sunday, originally known as Taboo Tuesday prior to WWE changing the name after trademarking it four years ago.

These events have always proven to not only sell more tickets, but improve the company’s television numbers and overnight ratings. WWE legends night, Raw anniversary, even NXT’s special-themed events like Halloween Havoc and Great American Bash scored better numbers than weekly traditional programming.

As for King of the Ring…Adam Pearce hinted on Twitter that King Corbin, who has been feuding with Shinsuke Nakamura for his crown on SmackDown, might have to face a fresh slew of opponents in a new KOTR tournament. While WWE has yet to confirm that the report by WrestleVotes indicates that it may actually come to fruition.
