Jay White’s new AEW faction is now known as The Cut, just hours after it was introduced as The Last Outfit.

According to F4WOnline, the change came in a backstage video AEW posted after the October 24 episode of Collision in Winston-Salem. White closed the promo by turning on Jon Moxley and the Death Riders.

“We are the last outfit capable of slicing out the cancer that is Jon Moxley and the Death Riders from the heart of AEW! We are The Cut,” White said.

AEW’s official roster page now lists White and the other members of the group as The Cut. POST Wrestling also noted that AEW’s official Collision results page was amended to use the new name.

The group had been introduced on Collision itself as The Last Outfit. White opened the show by teasing that the group could use the Bullet Club name, then said they were more than a club and announced The Last Outfit instead.

The faction brings together the Bang Bang Gang and The Dogs. The members are White, Juice Robinson, Austin Gunn, Colten Gunn, Ace Austin, David Finlay, and Clark Connors. The two groups joined forces on the October 21 episode of Dynamite, attacking the Death Riders and The Conglomeration.

White also wrestled on Collision, beating Kyle O’Reilly in the main event. He has said he wants to take the Continental Championship from Moxley.

The name change is the second name for the group in less than a day. The Last Outfit lasted only from the opening segment of Collision until the backstage video posted after the show.

What is confirmed is the new name, the seven members, and the roster page listing. What is not confirmed is whether AEW will address the switch on television, or give a reason for it on screen.
