Several Names Backstage At IMPACT Slammiversary

IMPACT Wrestling will return in front of a live audience tonight for its annual Slammiversary pay-per-view.

According to Fightful Select (subscription required), several names outside the company are backstage, including New Japan Pro Wrestling stars David Finlay and Juice Robinson. The pair are in town to be part of the upcoming tapings. They had a brief stint with the IMPACT Tag Team Championship, winning them at Sacrifice, then losing the titles during IMPACT! on AXS in May.

Another name backstage is Shawn Daivari, who recently returned to WWE to work as a backstage producer. His brother, Ariya Daivari is also backstage, he was released from WWE last month, it’s unknown if he has been given an out from his non-compete clause.

Ahead of the event, IMPACT teased a number of potential surprises for the show, including some talent who were released from WWE.
