WWE Secures Matt Riddle To New Deal

It looks like Riddle will be sticking around in WWE for at least a few more years.

Fightful Select (subscription required) reports that despite not being interested in WWE’s initial offer, Matt Riddle re-signed with the company last week. The company was hopeful he would sign a new deal with the company prior to the end of 2020.

The report indicates they have verified terms of a new deal, which was recently reported

Dave Meltzer noted in a recent edition of of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE offered Matt Riddle a new deal at $400,000 per year plus $50,000 for every event in Saudi Arabia.

The ‘Original Bro’ is currently part of a tag team with Jeff Hardy over on Raw. WWE recently applied to trademark the name ‘Hardy Bros’, which seemingly confirms the pair being used together for the foreseeable future. Prior to this, Riddle competed in NXT before having a short run on SmackDown, where he feuded with AJ Styles and King Corbin.

His contract was set to expire in August 2021, after the initial deal he signed in 2018. WWE have been recently known to resign superstars months before their contracts are set to expire.
