RVD To Enter 2021 WWE Hall Of Fame

Rob Van Dam has officially confirmed he will be inducted into the 2021 WWE Hall Of Fame.

During an interview with FOX Sports, Van Dam spoke on the news.

“It’s a pretty awesome feeling. Just like you probably would imagine, it feels like I’m being acknowledged and appreciated for my body of work. It feels very good. I’m honored,” RVD stated. “[Fans have] been calling me future Hall of Famer for years and I always just shrug and say, ‘All right, man. As long as you think so.’ But, glad to be among the chosen few this year.”

“I’m glad for me and for all the fans. I feel like them being behind me and wanting to see this happen is a win for them as well.”

WWE made the announcement Monday morning, shortly after FOX Sports published their story. Last week, Fightful reported plans for RVD to enter this year’s Hall of Fame Class.

RVD’s last appearance in WWE saw him make a surprise cameo during the ‘RAW Reunion’ show in 2019, however, he hasn’t actually competed in WWE since 2014 when he parted ways with the company.

Following his WWE exit, Dam spent time on the independent scene before returning to Impact Wrestling in 2019, where he worked with several other legends and younger talents up to when he left the company last September.

Dam recently revealed that he would be appearing in an upcoming WWE ‘Icons’ documentary, which will detail his wrestling career. The documentary will be released this May.
