Last night’s episode of RAW was Vince McMahon’s answer to low ratings.
McMahon cancelled a Smackdown Live event to bring more star power on RAW, he introduced the Wild Card Rule to allow wrestler’s to work both brands, and he delivered two Wrestlemania 35 re-matches.
The changes were not only happening on the program, but also on WWE’s digital platforms.
WWE historically uploads clips from segments on Youtube during RAW, but has stopped as of last night. The company postponed uploads until after the broadcast was over.
According to Dave Meltzer on the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, pressure is mounting from NBC Universal due to low viewership of the weekly show. The company feels uploading clips to Youtube during RAW is cutting into their ratings.
Twitter clips now have an added banner at the bottom asking fans to tune in live to the show.
