Daniel Bryan Potentially Working Dates For NJPW
WWE’s potential partnership with New Japan Pro-Wrestling has a lot to do with Daniel Bryan working outside the company.
Earlier today, Dave Meltzer was first to report a potential working agreement with NJPW and WWE, with talks dating back to March.
Mike Johnson of PWInsider added to the report, revealing sources from each company have confirmed: “there have been communications between the two sides for several months but the main crux of it was over the potential of Daniel Bryan being able to potentially work some dates in NJPW.”
The report stressed, as of right now there are no changes between New Japan Pro-Wrestling’s relationship with other promotions such as Impact and All Elite Wrestling.
Daniel Bryan’s contract expired earlier this month, with WWE pushing hard to have him sign a new deal. It’s unknown how far those talks have progressed in recent weeks.
