AEW WrestleDream 2026 is trending toward 100,000 to 110,000 pay-per-view buys, which would make it the company’s lowest pay-per-view number of the year.

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, writing in Friday’s edition of the newsletter and reported by F4WOnline, the show is trending similar to AEW Redemption, which was the company’s lowest pay-per-view number of the year so far.

For comparison, last year’s WrestleDream was estimated at 115,000 to 125,000 buys. Meltzer noted that domestic buys were lower this year, while international numbers were higher.

Meltzer wrote that the HBO Max numbers, which he called the biggest platform nowadays, were up from last year’s WrestleDream show, which was estimated at about 120,000 buys. He also wrote that international numbers are generally doing a higher percentage than domestic numbers over the last three shows.

Meltzer pointed to two possible factors: Will Ospreay as the company’s top star, and the show going on Saturday nights instead of Sunday nights. He did not settle on one explanation over the other.

The show drew 7,173 fans. AEW referred to it as a sellout on air, although it was 161 fans short of a complete sellout. This was the fourth edition of WrestleDream. The first took place on October 1, 2023, in Seattle, Washington.

What is confirmed is the trending range and the comparison to last year and to Redemption. The final buy number is not confirmed yet, and it is still an estimate, not a final count.
