A reason has been revealed to why Bryan Danielson didn’t use Final Countdown as his AEW theme song.

Before joining WWE, Bryan Danielson used Europe’s ‘Final Countdown’ song as his entrance theme in Ring Of Honor and the independent scene.

However when he made his AEW debut at All Out, Danielson came out to a remixed version of his old WWE theme song, called ‘Born For Greatness’ by Elliott Taylor. This received a mixed response, with some fans wanting Bryan to bring back his previous theme song.

According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, AEW attempted to use The Final Countdown, however it would have cost too much money.

“So The Final Countdown will not, as you can see, they played a version of Last of the Valkyrie, a remix of that. There was, in fact, an attempt to have him come out to The Final Countdown figuring the place would explode, which they did anyway, but even for Tony Khan it was cost-prohibitive.”

In the end it didn’t matter which theme song he used, as the crowd still blew up upon his arrival, which saw him help Christian Cage and Jurassic Express attack The Elite. Although not officially announced, Danielson will likely appear on this Wednesday’s edition of Dynamite.
