Cody Rhodes will reportedly be making his return to television soon.

Cody Rhodes hasn’t been seen on AEW television since losing to Malakai Black in his debut match last month.

Since his absence, Black has targeted various members of the Nightmare Family, which Cody leads. This has included Brock Anderson, Lee Johnson, and now Dustin Rhodes, who Black will face on this Wednesday’s Dynamite.

While the reason behind Cody’s absence hasn’t been officially confirmed, it’s likely due to the Go Big Show filming, a competition show which he serves as a judge for.

The American Nightmare could be making his return to television sooner rather than later however, according to a report from Cassidy Haynes of BodySlam.net

BodySlam.net reports that Rhodes will be making his return within this month (September). It was further noted that there are big plans for him upon his return, however the exact details on this were not included.

One thing this can’t be is the AEW Championship, which is currently held by Kenny Omega. Rhodes is no longer able to challenge for the title after losing to Chris Jericho at Full Gear 2019.
