AEW Dynamite viewership dipped for Fright Night, according to Wrestlenomics.

The October 28 episode of Dynamite drew an average of 620,000 viewers, down from 661,000 the week before. The show scored a 0.14 rating in the key 18 to 49 demographic, down from 0.15 on October 21.

The episode went up against Game 5 of the World Series between the Tampa Bay Rays and the Milwaukee Brewers, which is a likely factor in the drop. The figures do not include viewers on HBO Max, where Dynamite and Collision are simulcast each week.

Fright Night Dynamite came from the Chaifetz Arena in St. Louis, Missouri, and it continued the build to Blood and Guts on November 4 and Full Gear on November 14. The show featured Queen Aminata winning the TBS Championship from Persephone in the main event, Kyle Fletcher beating Jack Perry and challenging Will Ospreay for the AEW World Championship at Full Gear, and Darby Allin keeping the TNT Championship against Josh Alexander.

The dip comes at a busy time for AEW. Dynamite: Blood and Guts airs on November 4, with a men’s Blood and Guts match and a women’s Blood and Guts match on the card, and Full Gear follows ten days later in Phoenix, Arizona. Next week’s episode will be a better test of where the audience stands without World Series competition.

Wrestlenomics is the source for the weekly television ratings, and the numbers are for the TNT broadcast only. Streaming viewers on HBO Max are not counted in the reported total.

What is confirmed is the viewership and demo figures, the week to week comparison, and the World Series competition. What is not confirmed is how next week’s Blood and Guts episode will perform, or whether the dip is a one week blip tied to the World Series.
