The Hurt Syndicate are back in AEW.
Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin returned on the Fright Night edition of Collision, which was taped on October 28 at the Chaifetz Arena in St. Louis, Missouri, right after Fright Night Dynamite. The show airs on Saturday, October 31 at 8 p.m. ET on TNT and HBO Max.
Lashley and Benjamin, with MVP, beat Griff Garrison, Nick Comoroto and Aaron Solo in a handicap match. It was their first match together on AEW television since the All In pre-show, where they teamed in a multi-man match.
The former AEW World Tag Team Champions had been absent from AEW television since All In. Their return gives the tag team division a major name back, and it comes just days before Blood and Guts on November 4 and Full Gear on November 14.
The rest of the taped show also had several notable results. Triangle of Madness, made up of Thekla, Julia Hart and Skye Blue, kept the Artist of Stardom Championship by beating Hazuki, Koguma and Fuwa-chan. Tommaso Ciampa beat Matt Sydal, Konosuke Takeshita beat Adam Priest, and Mike Bailey beat Darius Martin.
The Cut, made up of Juice Robinson, Austin Gunn and Colten Gunn, beat The Conglomeration, made up of Orange Cassidy, Kyle O’Reilly and Roderick Strong, in trios action. In the main event, Ilja Dragunov beat The Beast Mortos in Dragunov’s second AEW match.
These are taping results, so they are spoilers for the October 31 broadcast. AEW has not announced what is next for The Hurt Syndicate after their return match.
What is confirmed is the return, the handicap match win, and the October 31 air date. What is not confirmed is whether Lashley and Benjamin will chase the tag team titles again, or who they will face next.
