The Hurt Syndicate is staying in AEW, with two of its members reportedly re-signing on multi-year deals.

According to Sean Ross Sapp, speaking on Fightful’s The Hump, the group is nowhere near finished with AEW. Sapp said MVP and Shelton Benjamin re-signed with AEW on multi-year deals at some point over the last year.

The Hurt Syndicate has been a regular part of AEW television since late 2024, when MVP arrived first, followed by Benjamin and Bobby Lashley. The group held the AEW World Tag Team Championship, with Benjamin and Lashley winning the titles in early 2025.

The report settles questions about the group’s future that have come up in recent months, as contract talk around AEW has picked up. Sapp’s comments make it clear the group is part of AEW’s plans going forward, at least for MVP and Benjamin.

Lashley’s status was not mentioned in the same report, and nothing has been said publicly about his deal. The three have worked as a unit since the group formed, and there has been no sign of a split on television.

The Hurt Syndicate has been positioned as one of the top acts in AEW’s tag team picture, and the re-signings keep that group intact heading into Full Gear on November 14 in Phoenix, Arizona.

What is confirmed is Sapp’s report that MVP and Benjamin signed new multi-year deals with AEW. What is not confirmed is the length of those deals, or whether Lashley has signed a new deal of his own.
